Prison Outbreak!

Sorry for the lack of the second part of the Zombicide battle report, but there will be a new one up hopefully tomorrow the Zombicide Season 2 Arrives, I promise you it will go up the second prison outbreak arrives.

I Have also been playing a fantastic little post-apocalyptic shooter called RAGE, it's kind of like mad max with half the vehicle fights. It also has a bandit clan with union jack warpaints!

Very Sorry Again (Again)

I am really sorry for the lack of posting over the last couple of weeks, but it is kinda for a project set in the Wastelands of Fallout! I am currently working on converting some WF Survivors into NCR/Raiders/Wastelanders, and I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions for Legion figures?

Also a few posts ago I mentioned some old Warlord Games Anglo-Zulu war British line infantry, which I was thinking of converting, I am just not sure what to convert them into, I had an idea of turning them into NCR Prospectors/Regulars (Not sure what the Hats would be) or Mercenaries.

Also FALLOUT 4! (How did I miss that announcement)

I Am playing the first (technically second) mission from the Zombicide Rulebook
Objectives are as follows

Take all the Objective tokens.

• Find at least one Canned Food card, at least one Rice card, and at least one Water card.

• Once you have achieved the previous objectives, reach the Exit Zone shown on the map with at least one Survivor. Gather the Equipment and Survivors that escaped. You win if you have at least one Canned Food, one Rice, and one Water card

Zombicide Battle Report in the Next Few Days

As the title says there should be a Zombicide battle report up in the next couple of days, I am about 1/3 of the way through the game and have decided to call it a night and set up again tomorrow. So far it has been pretty good and has involved my first encounter with a Fatty, Amy going up against 2 walkers with a pan and killing them both, Wanda and Phil defending separate crossroads with pistols and Ned and the office guy getting trapped in a room next to a spawn point. Also Josh was about to rip into a fatty with his chainsaw! (Not to hype it up or anything!)

Sorry, this week has been pretty busy, but the good new is Zombicide has been dispatched (Hooray!)

Anyway, I was thinking of making some custom survivor card after looking through the free rules, and making a whole Sheriff Survivor cast. Using the cards from 'vanilla' Zombicide. I also learned that my local wargames shop stocks Zombicide (More Zombies!)

Another idea I had was converting some leftover Anglo-Zulu war Brits into survivors, with uniforms scavenged from a museum.

Yesterday I mentioned that I had made some zombies from the Wargames Factory survivor kits, so here they are! There is 1 Adult Male from the Men's Box, 1 Adult Female from the Female Survivor Box and a child zombie/unarmed survivor from the mens box.

Zombicide Ordered!

Ok, from what I can find the Zombicide Minis are a similar size to the WF survivors, so I've taken the plunge and have ordered Zombicide Season 1, there are non in stock at the moment but there should be soon, so that should arrive sometime in the next month (or in my case by the end of the year!)

I Have made  a couple of "trial" survivor-zombies, and they look surprisingly good, should have some pics up tomorrow, also the Marshall County Sheriff Department is receiving a new member!

Ok, so I got back to my house today, opened the mailbox and saw a brown package in it, I thought it was my Studio Zombies (which should have arrived by now) and tore open the packaging only to find that it was a different package, a 1/50 highway patrol cruiser, which wont be any use until my zombies arrive!

I Followed Bob's advice and positioned a lamp above my photo area, and I think the photos turned out much better

Unfortunately the last week has been a bit hectic, with operations, eye appointments and attic clearing, at the moment I do not have access to a good camera, but should have later today, i'll post some pictures of a couple of survivors and a new vehicle

My Zombies have still not Arrived!, hopefully they'll arrive this week (I have been saying that for every post for the last month haven't I?, I must be going insane!)

Painted Survivor 01

Painted this yesterday, nothing like a bank holiday to get some painting done!

Beverly:

Before Z Day Beverly was an average soccer mum, taking her son to football and baseball matches. After watching her Husband and Son provide a nice snack for their coach, she hefted her son's metal bat and husband's gun and set about wreaking revenge on the Walking Undead.

 She is a Wargames Factory Female Survivor, the bat is from the male set and she is painted up using citadel paints. I was thinking of adding a little bit of blood to the bat, what are your thoughts?

On a related note of Painting, does anyone know a paint I can use to paint jeans on a couple of male survivors?

Sorry for the small delay, just thought I'd put out a small update.

Studio Miniatures Zombies: Should arrive before the end of the month
Survivors: How do you think I should post my Survivors 5 at a time?, or in related groups?

Films: In the middle of watching I Am Legend, however my dog rolled in the nicest substance on earth earlier..... Fox Poo!, so she's got to be washed.
TV: A Couple of days ago I watched an interesting mockumentary called Blackout, I'd say it was 4/10 but worth watching if its on BBC or something.

Games: Recently re-discovered a game called How to Survive in my steam library, not really getting into it but the game and all DLC's for £0.99 it was hard to pass up.

Anyway, Just thought I'd give you small Update.

Day 1 Survivors & Find from the Lonely Terrain Box

Ok, I was working on a couple of small buildings, and was about to re-arrange my terrain box to fit them in, when I found these lovely fellows, I think that they are TAG SAS, I think I bought them at my local tip shop a couple of years ago for some reason. Any way I am thinking that I will buy This miniature and these will make a good squad. From Right: Wargames Factory Woman Survivor 3x SAS on no base, SAS on Wargames factory base, 2x WF male survivors (to use as Day 1 survivors)



These are a bunch of survivors that I will use for any initial outbreak survivors in my games, all are Wargames factory plastics, the two golfers golf clubs broke off, so I'm not sure what too use the handles as, any suggestions?


Update on Studio Miniatures: Bad News!
Unfortunatly the Suppliers of the miniatures are currently re-inventorising their products so they said it should arrive by the end of the month, no batrep this weekend D:


     

My Wants From a Ruleset, and 2 Book Reviews

On my Earlier post, Shelldrake mentioned that I should write a "wish list" for my wants from a ruleset.

Wants:
Survivor vs Survivor Combat ( or Survivor vs Bandit/Military)
Random Encounters
Campaign Ability
Example Scenarios (For example a Day 1 Scenario and a Day 9 Scenario, although Kisshead on the Juniorgeneral forums posted a link to the Zombicide Scenario Page)

If anyone has any ideas they would be happily welcomed


Update on the Studio Plastics: On Friday I got an Email from the company supplying them that they haven't been sent the Miniatures from their supplier (very confusing ;P) and that they'll email me when its dispatched.


Book Review: Ashes (1st Book) and Shadows (2nd Book) by Ilsa J Bick

Just a heads up on a good series of books that have not got your "traditional" dawn of the dead style zombies but have got cannibals that "evolve" to have basic functions (Know how to track, shoot and handle weapons towards the end of the first book). It follows a Young Girl that is struggling in the late stages of a brain tumour, and decides to go out hiking alone, while she does this a cataclysmic event happens that causes an Emp type effect but also flicks a switch in some teenagers/young adults heads that turns them into flesh eating cannibals. The "event" kills off most 20-60 year olds. It also features some classic post-apocalyptic themes (I won't spoil some of the plot twists)

As my Studio Miniatures Zombies have not yet arrived (sigh) i have got these as a replacement for now, they will be used in random encounters, as a mission objective or just as as friendly (or unfriendly) survivors. I think i'll paint them u in a similar fashion to the Walking Dead TV Show Uniform or maybe something like this. Anyway, here they are (one of them fell off his base)

On a Related note does anyone know where i can pick up some police dogs with vests on like this one.

I am a Fan of the Walking Dead Comics, the TV Show and am Currently Re-Playing the Video Game (The Telltale one not Survival Instinct). Also in my collection is State of Decay and Left 4 Dead

I Currently have about 50 Survivors, and 60 Studio Miniatures Zombies are in the Post, i will also be converting the rest of my spare survivors into Zombies, giving me an estimate of 100 Zombies

Most Posts will contain Mostly Unpainted Miniatures, But i have set myself the goal of getting 2 Survivors Painted a Month, including Backstories.
