Before Z Day Beverly was an average soccer mum, taking her son to football and baseball matches. After watching her Husband and Son provide a nice snack for their coach, she hefted her son's metal bat and husband's gun and set about wreaking revenge on the Walking Undead.
She is a Wargames Factory Female Survivor, the bat is from the male set and she is painted up using citadel paints. I was thinking of adding a little bit of blood to the bat, what are your thoughts?On a related note of Painting, does anyone know a paint I can use to paint jeans on a couple of male survivors?
Great start dude! I haven't long finished the mens box, they're pretty cool figures, great for the price. Haven't got the girls yet, on the to buy list, right at the top.
ReplyDeleteI use a couple of different paints for denim. Wasted Jeans is one, came in the Zombicide Core Paint Set, although it's available seperately on the Army Painter website. Another is Thunderhawk Blue, avaiable at your nearest evil empire outlet GW. I also use a really thinned out Regal Blue over a white basecoat. Regal Blue is an old out of production(OOP) GW colour.
Denim isn't always blue though dude but I assumed that's what you mean.
Thanks Bob, yes I meant blue, the thing is that I used Regal Blue for the Hoodie! Should have another survivor out tomorrow, a officer worker/ businessman type.
DeleteVery nice mate. For Denim I start with a medium blue such as Mordian Blue. Do a solid base coat. Wash with army painter Blue Tone. Then I highlight the raised bits with Mordian again. Then I add a tiny bit of white to the Mordian blue and do a layer where jeans wear such as thighs, butt etc. Then add more white do another layer leaving some of the original layer showing. Also sort of drybrush it a little in place so a bit of the previous layer shows through.
ReplyDeleteTry not to have to much paint on the brush I usually dip it in the paint then wipe it on the edge of my palate so as to not accidentally flood an area.
Do you want fresh blood? Then get some Tamiya Cleard Red It comes highly recommended. If your going for old blood add spot of black point to the red for a mucky congealed colour looks like old blood that way.
