Congratulations on starting a zombie blog dude!
ReplyDeleteWelcome to the blogging community.
Yep welcome to blogging.
ReplyDeleteNo more Room in Hell needs a bit of tweaking here and there I was a bit dissatisfied with the Spawning rules and found killing zombies was quite tough to do.
Some of the rules you have listed are free, so I would try these out first. Play test a game or two of each set and see what you like or dislike about them. It may save you a bit of cash in the long run.
ReplyDeleteA lot of people play All Things Zombie. The books are worth it for the charts alone, but I just couldn't get in to the system with the check upon check upon check during game play. Yet others totally love the game (Vampifan springs to mind right away).
No More Room In Hell had potential, but I felt the rules were a copy and paste job from Iron Ivan's other rules and the extra work needed to make them a good rule set was not done.
I suggest doing a bit of research in to each of the rules available and ask as many questions you can to determine what is right for you.
Maybe if you make a post telling your readers what you want to get out of a zombie war game and what you don't want could help the process along a bit more.
I currently think I'm going to use Survivors and Zombies to start off with (with some home brew rules added, might even modify your Random Encounter Cards ;P), I'll hopefully get a Game in this weekend, with unpainted figures. Although it might be quite small scale.
